Becoming Bishu
How a blockchain startup was founded to save its community, and then the world.
Ever wanted to own your own blockchain project, pave the technological way to the future forward and transform the way people go about their daily lives as we know it? None of us did. We just wanted to be early on a project for once, get in with a comfortable investment, wait for the pump; then live like kings and queens, never having to work a day in our lives again. Boy were we in for a surprise…
Our developer bailed on us, waiting for an initial pump and made off with the profit he chased. The rest of us, clung to our stacks, as animal meme coins began to pump around us — leaving us holders between a rock and a hard place. What do we do? Where do we go from here? Do we bail, take our profits and get out? Do we wait for a pump, hit the peak and dump our stacks?
Let me start by saying that the above was never an option. There were three, a resilient trio who chose to embrace the storm and nurture the community, inspiring other members within the community with their positivity as they all began to fall in love with this project — which was growing, despite its developer having left — there was potential within the Bishu movement.
At around 5000 holders, things began to get serious, and the project gained wings as it rose to a $60m market cap, prior to the great dip of May 2021. Volunteers were needed to help manage an increasing community and the responsibilities that came with it. Within 24 hours, an entire team was established — comprising of developers, art and creative directors, designers, product and project managers — and some rather interesting skills…should one ever need an EOD operator.
At a time when most people were panicking and throwing in the towel, overcome with the pressures and anxiety of the volatile market, the Bishu community truly came together. They began working harder than ever, around the clock through their various international team members to push this project in a direction where it would find its voice and build a great vision for its future.
As a team, we cannot pretend that we are experts on the blockchain, but we certainly house the best minds in a variety of industries, who truly collaborate, vote on and launch ideas dynamically. You will find that this is the future of operational methodology of any organization: to be agile as a project, adapt to changes in climate, consumer, and market conditions — to deal with change on a daily, if not, by the minute basis.
If you thought running a business was difficult, try running a blockchain project — then try convincing the rest of the world that your blockchain product, along with your team and the vision, objectives and strategic goals are better than other products competing to raise their heads high above the rest. Except, you truly know that your product is the best, and that the team you have is capable of carrying this once abandoned stack of tech into the multi billions and has the ability to create an iconic moment within crypto and popular culture.
The Bishu team has a responsibility to our community and to each other. We cannot let each other down, and this is what makes us special — we toil at our day jobs, only to come home and sacrifice our personal lives, well being and sometimes our responsibilities for a group of avatars that surprisingly, have our back far more than people who have been in our lives for years do.
It’s a beating heart, it’s a token that will lead the way, because we have a team that will find the best usecase for this highly profitable and tradeable stack of tokens that has become more than a financial representation on the blockchain — it is the blood, sweat, hopes and dreams of a group of people who will leave a footprint on humanity through technology and become a household name within the fabrics of culture .
